



The needs connected with a dynamic increase in traveling by air and the perspective of organizing Euro 2012 in Wroclaw brought about the necessity of investments in order to continue developing the infrastructure of the airport. On 30th March 2008 a new terminal to serve passengers traveling to non Schengen countries has been opened. The additional area of 1900 m2 has increase the annual output of the airport and enables to serve 1.200 passengers.
On July 2006 a competition for a conception of a new terminal and its infrastructure was decided. The company "JSK Architekci" was chosen to carry out the project. By the end of 2011 a terminal serving 2mln passengers per year will be built and it will be enlarged to attend to 4.5mln passengers in 2013. In 2016 the new infrastructure will create conditions for 7mln passengers which is our main goal.
Among the planned investments there are as well:
- a car park for 1500 cars
- extention of the system of aprons and runways
- building the exit ways
- extention of the navigation systems .
